Hey Luck

A fruit shop where joy slows down.
The redesign of “Hey Luck” began with a simple yet thoughtful intention — the owner’s wish to redefine the atmosphere and experience of her shop. Rather than remaining a purely transactional retail space, she envisioned a place where people could pause, connect, and embrace a slower rhythm in their daily lives. Our design is the spatial translation of that vision.
We moved away from the bright, fast-paced visual language typical of fruit shops and introduced a palette of soft beige and deep wood tones. This calming backdrop allows the natural colours of the fruit to emerge as the visual focus. More importantly, it shifts the experience from “purchase” to “participation” — visitors no longer simply enter to buy fruit but are invited to stay, enjoy fresh juices, handmade ice creams, and desserts, and savour small moments of everyday pleasure.
The owner also hoped for a space that would embody a greater sense of ease. In response, we composed the interior with a deliberately unstructured mix of furniture and materials, breaking away from rigid uniformity to create a relaxed, lived-in atmosphere. Gentle lighting and subtle Japanese-inspired details introduce warmth, while a pet-friendly corner with playful openings brings layers of intimacy and character into the space.
This transformation is more than a renovation — it’s a gentle slowing down of the everyday, bringing space and people closer together.
It’s a place that celebrates the ordinary — where the freshness of the season can be tasted, small delights shared, and joy simply felt.
